There are about 116 urdu-speaker or “Bihari” settlements in Bangladesh with an approximate population of above 150,000 (2006, Al-Falah study). We encourage you to go to the camps and take photographs. If you would like direction or information, please use the contact form to get in touch with us. Photographs from the camps  are of particular interest to the competition organisers. Even if you are not a winner, your photograph is likely to be used in the exhibition which will take place in Dhaka between 18th-25th May and then tour some of the camps. Common Future category allows people both inside and outside Bangladesh who are unable to visit the camps to nevertheless take part and to bring to attention the commonness of human struggle and solidarity.
